There's something about watching my little girl run down the beach barefoot and carefree. Capturing it in the camera is another story. I think I broke a sweat.Read More
Today was my second day of running after an eight month layoff otherwise known as 'being lazy'. I was still walking along Neptune, just not running behind my BOB stroller as I had been over the last two and a half years. As I came to a stop and started my cool down back to the house a couple were walking my way. I didn't know their names just their faces as we casually said "Hello" over the years.Read More
I took so many photos on Tuesday I had to post more...Hope you don't mind.Read More
Today was a good day to practice photographing in the TV mode of my Canon. I set the shutter speed to 1/1000 and ISO 100 and let the camera decide the F/stop. Oh, and I also set the focus to AI Servo. This was the first time I have used the TV setting as I usually shoot Manual. I love the sharpness and knowledge that I would get sharper photos with a moving subject. Enjoy.
Today it was cool and breezy, an unusual day in early October in San Diego. It actually rained for a few minutes too! I had to wear my North Face fleece with my shorts and sandals today, it was that cold! This leaf blew into my yard so I thought I would get my camera and take the photo. BRRRRR!!
1/500, f/6.3, ISO 200, focal length 33 mm and exposure comp -2/3 and I shoot RAW.
Wavecrest Woodie Meet is the largest of its kind in the country. Held each September at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA. It draws up to 300 wooden-bodied cars for a weekend of car and surf-related activities. This year marks the 31st anniversary of Wavecrest!
I didn't want to just take photos of cars so I went for creativity. I hope you enjoyed my trip to the Woodie show. These are beautiful cars to photograph with a lot of history to tell.
